⚠️ What You Should Do

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled product, unplug the device and contact 3M for reimbursement.  Consumers should visit https://www.scotchbrand.com/3m/en_ca/scotch-brand-ca/tl1302-laminator-recall/ and fill out the recall registration form.  3M will email the consumer directly and request the consumer send in one image that includes: (1) the cut cord from the impacted laminator; and (2) the laminator serial number found on the sticker on the bottom of the laminator.  Upon verification that an impacted laminator has been disabled, 3M will issue a voucher to the consumer for the value of the product.  Consumers should dispose of the laminator pursuant to local electronic recycling requirements. Consumers can contact 3M Customer Service at 1 800 772 4337 between 8:00 am – 4:30 pm CT Monday through Friday for more information on how to participate in the recall.This is a joint recall with Health Canada, the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (US CPSC) and 3M Canada Company.Please note that the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act prohibits recalled products from being redistributed, sold or even given away in Canada.Health Canada would like to remind Canadians to report any health or safety incidents related to the use of this product or any other consumer product or cosmetic by filling out the Consumer Product Incident Report Form.This recall is also posted on the OECD Global Portal on Product Recalls website.
