Consumers should immediately contact the installer or a qualified service technician to schedule a free repair. The repair will consist of installing a steel plate, which will be affixed to the base of the flue collector to act as a reinforcement.  Consumers residing in the Province of Quebec can find a qualified service technician by contacting local distributor Trilex at (450) 704-0947 to schedule a “Flue Collector Upgrade". Consumers in all other Canadian provinces can find a qualified service technician by contacting AquaTech Sales and Marketing, Inc. at 1-866-594-0767, ext. 127.For more information, consumers can contact Lochinvar by telephone at 1-833-232-9706 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. ET Monday through Friday or visit the company’s recall website to check for the recalled boilers’ serial number at www.waterheaterrecall.com.Joint recall with Health Canada, the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (US CPSC) and Lochinvar, LLC.Please note that the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act prohibits recalled products from being redistributed, sold or even given away in Canada.Health Canada would like to remind consumers to report any health or safety incidents related to the use of this product or any other consumer product or cosmetic by filling out the Consumer Product Incident Report Form.This recall is also posted on the OECD Global Portal on Product Recalls website.
